Advocates who are working with charged or convicted survivors can provide critical guidance through the safety planning process and help them evaluate and plan for the unique risks created by their involvement in the criminal legal system. Additionally, advocates can offer other meaningful support including connecting criminalized survivors to needed practitioners and services. This resource explores some considerations that may be useful to fold into a criminalized survivor’s safety plan.
