Making Evidence-Based Practices More Effective for Survivors Experiencing Substance Use Coercion

Explore how to adapt evidence-based practices to better support survivors experiencing substance use coercion. This session highlights five key enhancements: psychoeducation, awareness of coercion tactics, attention to ongoing safety, coping skill development, and strengths-based approaches, which make any practice more responsive and effective.

You’ll also learn strategies to engage in collaborative, survivor-centered decision-making while navigating the complexities of trauma, stigma, and safety.
