Housing as the Foundation of Safety and Wellbeing

Explore the vital role of housing in supporting survivors impacted by substance use coercion. This session delves into the barriers survivors face in accessing safe, stable housing, including stigma, systemic restrictions, and service gaps while highlighting the critical intersection of domestic violence, substance use, and housing instability.

Participants will gain practical, survivor-centered strategies for reducing barriers, promoting safety, and enhancing access to housing for survivors and their families.

Presented by Stefani Keys, MS, Human Trafficking and Housing Coordinator at the West Virginia Coalition Against Domestic Violence.
